It’s an honour to have the role, in my opinion there’s nothing to lose, you’re only ever gaining whether you’re speaking in an assembly or discussing future plans for the school. If i had to say one thing i love about it is it would be the trust people have in you to provide the best possible future for them and the responsibility you have with it.
