Year 7 BET Book Award Day. Since January, small groups of Year 7 student judges across the Trust have been reading and discussing the five books on the BET Book Award 2025 shortlist, deciding which is their favourite based on the Bohunt Trust values of Enjoy, Respect and Achieve. Today they represented our schools for the final debate held at two hubs. Congratulations to the students for representing Bohunt FAB so well.
In total, over 90 students from BET participated and after in-depth discussions, the winning book was declared as “Echostar” by Melinda Salisbury. This is a short thriller linking well to issues around social media use. In discussions, students clearly picked up the book’s message – the power of well written fiction! The author will be invited to an award ceremony at one of the BET Schools.
