Bohunt Farnborough Opens New Outdoor Classroom Thanks to Support from VIVID Homes

Students at Bohunt Farnborough will benefit from an inspiring new outdoor classroom, officially opened thanks to the generous support of VIVID Homes. The new learning space will provide students with opportunities to learn beyond the traditional classroom, supporting wellbeing, environmental education and hands-on learning experiences.

The outdoor classroom has been created to enhance the School’s commitment to innovative education, giving students a dedicated space to connect with nature, collaborate on projects and develop new skills in an engaging environment. The facility will be used across a range of subjects, as well as for enrichment activities, wellbeing sessions and community events.

The project was made possible through the support of VIVID, whose investment reflects a shared commitment to creating opportunities for young people and strengthening local communities.

Daryl Bond, Headteacher at Bohunt Farnborough, said:

“We are incredibly grateful to VIVID for helping us bring these projects to life. Their support has genuinely transformed what is possible for our young people. From introducing Turnstyle, a sport-led mentoring programme that is already making a real difference to some of our most vulnerable students, to ensuring every child could sit down together for a Christmas Dinner – creating a moment of belonging and joy that many would not otherwise have experienced – their investment has had a meaningful impact across our school community.

VIVID’s generosity has also enabled us to create a wonderful new outdoor classroom. This is much more than a physical space; it is an investment in our students’ learning, wellbeing and future. Outdoor learning inspires curiosity, creativity and collaboration, while helping young people develop a deeper appreciation of the natural environment. We know these opportunities will benefit generations of students, and we are proud to partner with an organisation that shares our commitment to giving every child the chance to thrive.”

Alex Nagle, Customer Services Director, VIVID, said:

“We’re happy to have supported Bohunt Farnborough in creating this fantastic new space for students. Supporting the communities we serve is a huge part of what we do, and that includes investing in opportunities that help young people reach their potential. We hope this becomes a place where students can come together, build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy experiences that inspire them for years to come. It’s been a pleasure to be part of a project that will make a lasting difference to the school and wider community.”

The opening of the outdoor classroom marks another milestone in Bohunt Farnborough’s ongoing commitment to creating exceptional learning environments that prepare students for success both in and beyond the classroom.

The school would like to thank Gary Clark-Allan, Lauren Dane and the teams at VIVID and E.ON for their commitment and support in bringing the outdoor classroom to life.
