Bohunt Farnborough is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Diamond EAL Award, validated by Hampshire’s Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS).
The award recognises the school’s ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity, promoting inclusion and creating a community where every student is valued and supported to achieve their potential.
With a richly diverse school community, Bohunt Farnborough places great importance on recognising and celebrating the different cultures, backgrounds and experiences that make up the school. The Diamond EAL Award provides recognition of the work taking place across the school to ensure that diversity and inclusion remain at the heart of its community.
Bohunt Farnborough is only the second secondary school to receive the Diamond EAL Award, making this a particularly significant achievement for the school and its students.
Mrs Cayless has played an important role in supporting this work and in helping to develop a culture where students are encouraged to understand, respect and celebrate both the similarities and differences within their community.
The school is delighted to receive this recognition and sees it as a reflection of the collective commitment of its students, staff, families and wider community.
Mr Bond, Headteacher said:
“This award recognises schools that act as regional leaders and centres of EAL expertise, going far beyond excellence within their own walls. It is a fantastic achievement for our students, staff and families, and a celebration of the inclusive, diverse community we are so proud to be part of.”
The Diamond EAL Award marks an important milestone for Bohunt Farnborough and reinforces the school’s commitment to ensuring that every student feels welcomed, respected and included.
