BET

Bohunt Education Trust (BET) runs a group of schools, including Bohunt School, with a shared ethos: Enjoy Respect Achieve.

Bohunt School is part of the Bohunt Education Trust (BET), which is based in the South of England. BET comprises eight schools: Bohunt School in Liphook, which opened the Trust’s first sixth form in 2017, Priory School in Portsmouth, The Petersfield School (TPS), Bohunt School Worthing, Bohunt School Wokingham, The Costello School in Basingstoke and Bohunt Horsham, which is the Trust’s first all-through school, and which opened in 2019. In 2020, Steyning Grammar School – one of only 34 UK state boarding schools – joined the BET family. BET also provides school improvement support to City Academy Norwich (CAN).

Every BET school has a separate identity, united by an innovative approach to education and high aspirations and high expectations for all students. Each school uses (or is planning for) immersion techniques for teaching foreign languages, has an integrated Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) curriculum, and has a focus on extra-curricular activities. Watch our video for a taste of life in a BET school:

As well as setting children up to achieve excellent results in national exams, BET ensures that students have every opportunity to succeed in life. The aim of the Trust is, over time, to grow to give unparalleled opportunity to more students in the multi-academy trust between the ages of 4 and 19.

I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our school community as part of the Student Executive Team. In the short time I’ve held this role, I’ve had the privilege of speaking in assemblies and working closely with both students and staff. I took on this position to support those around me, and I’m […]

I love being a part of the senior leadership. It’s an honour to have the role, in my opinion there’s nothing to lose, you’re only ever gaining whether you’re speaking in an assembly or discussing future plans for the school. If i had to say one thing i love about it is it would be […]

Being part of the student leadership team is an honour. Standing side by side with people who want to make a difference, want to see changes happen, want to watch as the environment around them flourishes, is truly inspiring. It pushes you to break out of your comfort zone and it pushes you to speak […]

I remember a time when I doubted myself, but with determination, encouragement and support I gained the confidence to keep going. That experience showed me that leadership is about courage, kindness, and supporting others. Being part of the student leadership team is about representing and supporting our school community, not just holding a position. True […]

Throughout Year 11, the school helped me achieve the top-end grades I needed to secure my scholarship at Eton College, via the Orwell Award. Joining a select few individuals that have won this award at this prestigious college, I am now studying politics, economics and theology for my A-levels, something I would never have imagined […]

I have taken part in gymnastics since the age of 5 competing in ‘women’s artistic’ right up to the first Covid lockdown. I then made the transition from gymnastics to cheerleading in 2020.
